Lemon Sauce For Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 to 2/3 c. unwhipped whipping cream
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar and salt in pot and mix until well blended.
Add boiling
water,
stirring
rapidly
to
prevent lumping.
Cook until thickened
about
10 minutes.
Add butter or margarine.
Cool, then add lemon juice and cream.
Store in refrigerator.
