Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 orange
1 c. cranberries
3/4 c. pecans or walnuts
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
In a measuring cup, put juice and grated rind of 1 orange, 2 tablespoons melted shortening and enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup.
Cool and add egg and dry ingredients.
Do not beat too much.
Add 3/4 cup nuts and cranberries cut in half.
Pour in loaf pan.
