Marinated Whole Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium tomatoes, peeled
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. red pepper sauce
    1 clove garlic, crushed
Preparation
    Place tomatoes in 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Mix remaining ingredients and spoon onto tomatoes.
    Cover and refrigerate, turning occasionally, for at least 8 hours, but not longer than 24 hours.
    Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
