Centennial Apple Butter Stack Cake - cooking recipe

2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
flour
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Use a large bowl.
In separate bowl, beat 2 cups molasses and 1 teaspoon soda until molasses turns a light beige color.
Combine the dry ingredients and able consistency.
Turn out on heavily floured board and knead 1/2 of the mixture at a time.
Divide dough into 14 equal portions.
Roll each portion out to fit a round cake pan.
