Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

3 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, soft
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. Karo syrup
6 (6 oz.) sq. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate or 1 1/2 (6 oz.) pkg. Baker's German sweet chocolate
4 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation

Crust:
Grease bottom and sides of a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat flour, 1/2 cup sugar, butter and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly and evenly into pan.
Bake 20 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
