Ingredients

1 c. Crisco oil
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. confectioners sugar
4 c. plain flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and Crisco.
Add sugars and eggs.
Mix all the dry ingredients together; mix well.
Chill in refrigerator.
Roll dough into balls.
Place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
To coat with sugar use two glass pans:
Put sugar in one and spray the bottom of the other with Pam cooking spray.
Dip in the sugar and mash balls flat;
do this twice.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until outside edge turns golden brown.
