Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
2 sticks margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 bag chocolate chips
1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. Crisco or Wesson oil
1 Tbsp. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Electric Mixer:
Cream the 2 sugars, margarine and oil.
Add beaten egg, milk and oil; mix well.
Combine flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
Add this to creamy mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (optional).
Use tablespoon to spoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
