Dilly Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cake or pkg. yeast
1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
1 Tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. warm water
2 tsp. dill seed
1 unbeaten egg
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Soften yeast in warm water.
Combine in mixing bowl the cottage cheese, sugar, onion, shortening, salt, soda and dill seed.
Add flour to form a stiff dough.
Knead.
Let rise until light or double in size (30 to 60 minutes).
Knead down.
Make out into 1 large or 2 small loaves.
Let rise.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until light brown.
Brush top with butter and sprinkle lightly with salt.
