Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white
3/4 c. chopped nuts
raspberry jelly
Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add vanilla, sugar and egg yolk.
Blend in flour and salt.
Roll into balls and dip into whipped egg white. Roll in nuts.
Place on a cookie sheet 1-inch apart.
Press thumb in the center.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cool and fill print with jelly.
