Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box German chocolate cake mix
14 oz. pkg. caramel candy
1/2 c. or 1 small can evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter
1 c. pecans
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Pour half of batter into a Pam-sprayed 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake for only 15 minutes.
In top of double boiler over hot water melt together the caramels, milk and butter.
Pour this over baked portion of the cake.
Sprinkle the pecans and chocolate chips over the caramel mixture.
Spread remaining batter over caramel mixture.
Bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes.
If desired, you may before returning the cake to the oven, sprinkle 1/2 cup of pecans over the top of the batter.
