Polish Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground pork
    2 slices white bread
    1 egg
    1 small onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
    bread crumbs
    flour
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Mix pork, egg, onion, salt and pepper.
    Wet bread; crumble into meat mixture.
    Shape into 1 1/2 to 2-inch balls; roll in bread crumbs and brown well in 2 tablespoons of oil.
    When browned, cover with water and simmer 1 hour.
    Thicken with flour to make gravy.
    Serve with mashed potatoes and a tossed salad.
