Jan'S Quick Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large box instant vanilla pudding
    1 tsp. sherry extract
    1 pound cake (plain) or 1 sponge cake
    2/3 c. whipped cream
    1 small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Make pudding as directed on box.
    Add sherry extract.
    Let stand while breaking cake into crumbs.
    Stir whipped cream through the pudding.
    Add cake to mixture and garnish with maraschino cherries (cut up).
    Makes 8 servings.
