Serbian Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast ( or 1 large fresh cake yeast)
2 c. lukewarm water
1/4 c. oil or soft Crisco
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
6 to 7 c. bread flour (enough to make a soft dough)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Add oil or shortening.
Add sugar, salt and gradually add flour until it forms a soft dough. Knead mixture until smooth and elastic; turn into lightly oiled bowl.
Cover and allow to rise 1 1/2 hours.
Punch down; form into 2 loaves, in bread pans or one large loaf and place in greased pans.
Place loaves in middle of preheated 400\u00b0 oven and bake 10 minutes, then reduce to 350\u00b0 and bake 20 to 25 minutes or until nicely browned.
Remove onto cooling rack.
