Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. water
2 c. dry green split peas
4 stalks of celery cut up
2 carrots cut up
1 medium size onion cut up
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper
pinch cayenne pepper
Preparation

Boil hard for 20 minutes then slowly until peas are soft. Strain through a colander or food mill.
