Chicken Chow Mein, American-Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    4 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 1/2 c. shredded, cooked chicken
    1 c. celery, diced
    1 1/2 c. meat stock or water
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. cold water
    chow mein noodles
Preparation
    Brown onion lightly in margarine.
    Add next 4 ingredients and simmer 15 minutes.
    Blend and stir into meat mixture; add cornstarch mixed in cold water.
    Cook until slightly thickened and clear.
    Serve hot on chow mein noodles.
