Chili Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 ham hock
1 lb. pinto beans
1 lb. ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 half bell pepper, chopped
1 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. Dupree chili mix
1 small can mushrooms
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (16 oz.) can Mexican stewed tomatoes
2 c. cut up smoke sausage
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 small can mild or hot jalapeno peppers (optional)
Preparation

Wash and sort beans.
Place beans, ham hock, garlic, salt and pepper into a pot with 8 cups of water.
Bring to a boil, then simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
