Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium onions, thickly sliced
    2 c. stewing beef
    2 c. chopped celery (optional)
    8 carrots, cut into chunks
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    6 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in well-greased 2 1/2-quart casserole. Bake 5 minutes at 250\u00b0.
