Coconut Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream
    sugar and shortening, salt and vanilla; add egg. Stir in
    flour,
    soda and coconut.
    Shape in roll and freeze. Slice frozen
    dough.
    Cook on greased sheet at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes. Yields 4 dozen.
