Cold Oven Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the butter and shortening.
    Gradually add sugar.
    Beat in 1 1/2 cups of sifted flour and 1/2 cup of milk alternately. Beat in eggs one at a
    time.
    Add the rest of the flour and milk alternately.
    Add flavorings and salt.
    Pour in large greased and floured tube pan.
    Put in cold oven.
    Turn on 325\u00b0.
    Cook for 1 hour.
    Turn oven to 350\u00b0 and bake for 15 minutes; do not open the door.
    Cool on rack 15 minutes.
