Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
1/3 to 1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
-
Beat egg until smooth; add milk and melted shortening.
Pour this into the flour and sugar and mix a very soft dough.
Drop by spoonfuls into chicken, turkey or beef broth.
