Apple Pie Filling Mix To Can - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    10 c. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    enough apples to fill 8-qt. jars, sliced
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; bring to a boil, then add lemon juice.
    Cook until thick.
    Cover apples in jars with liquid.
    Seal and process in hot water bath 20 minutes.
