Easy Moussaka - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large eggplant
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. salt
    4 onions, chopped
    1 can tomato soup
Preparation
    Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
    Slice unpeeled eggplant in 1/2-inch slices.
    Melt shortening in skillet and brown eggplant. Remove eggplant and then saute beef until it crumbles and loses its color.
