Porru Salda(Leek Soup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, cut in small pieces
    4 Tbsp. oil or bacon fat
    salt and pepper
    8 medium leeks, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    water
Preparation
    In a large pot, bring to boil 3 to 4 quarts water.
    Add leeks, potatoes and 2 tablespoons oil/fat.
    When vegetables are cooked, add the garlic which has been fried in 2 tablespoons oil.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer for 45 minutes.
    Serves 4.
