Apple-Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped, peeled apples
    1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Beat egg, sugar and vanilla by hand until light and fluffy. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Blend or fold in with apples and nuts (by hand).
    Pour into well buttered cake pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Top with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
