Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
candied cherries or pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and cream cheese.
Slowly add sugar.
Beat until fluffy.
Beat in egg yolk and flour.
Add vanilla and mix well. Chill dough at least one hour.
Place on a well-greased cookie sheet.
Gently press a cherry or pecan into each cookie.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes.
