Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 lb. light brown sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

In mixing bowl, cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar well. Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
Add plain flour, salt, baking powder, milk, vanilla and nuts.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0 or until cake tests done.
Cool well before frosting.
