Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sour milk
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. ginger
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses.
    Add beaten eggs. Add flour to make a good batter.
    Add spices.
    Mix soda in sour milk.
    Add.
    Mix well.
    Bake in moderate oven about 30 minutes. Test with toothpick.
    If it comes out clean and shrinks from sides of pan, it is done.
