Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
1 c. water
2 c. peanuts (raw)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup and water to the soft ball stage at 238\u00b0. Add peanuts and salt.
Cook to hard crack, 290\u00b0.
Remove from heat and add butter and soda.
Stir well.
Pour into greased platter. Cool by lifting around edge.
When cool, but still slightly warm, turn over.
Break into pieces.
