Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 stick oleo
    5 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 small can Baker's coconut
Preparation
    Cream together the sugar, Crisco and oleo until creamy. Separate eggs and add yolks, one at a time.
    Add soda to buttermilk.
    Add buttermilk and flour alternately.
    Add coconut, vanilla and chopped pecans.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Makes 3 layers.
