Chicken With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut up
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 1/2 c. long grain rice
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    3 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. saffron, crushed
    1 c. frozen peas
    1 (2 oz.) can pimientos (optional)
    1 Tbsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
Preparation
    Sprinkle chicken lightly with salt.
    Brown chicken in hot oil, about 15 minutes.
    Remove from pan.
