No Weep Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 egg whites
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    5 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine in water the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Cook until thick.
    Beat the egg whites well, then add 5 tablespoons sugar.
    Add to cooked mixture.
    Beat good with hand beater.
    Put on pie and brown.
