Ingredients

1 c. oleo or butter (2 sticks oleo)
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla, lemon or almond extract
4 1/2 c. sifted flour, sifted (then measure)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream together butter (oleo), sugar and eggs.
Add extract, flour, salt and soda and mix together.
Add this to creamed mixture and mix.
Divide dough into 3 parts and wrap in wax paper and put in refrigerator-freezer for 30 minutes, or refrigerate overnight.
Take out and put in lower refrigerator, taking out 1 part at a time.
Put on floured board and roll out to 3/8-inch thick.
Bake at 350\u00b0 on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.
