Spinach Crescents - cooking recipe

1/2 cup sliced almonds
1-10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tsp. olive or vegetable oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1-8 oz. pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls

Can add 1 cup Ricotta cheese to mixture before spreading on dough for extra flavor.
