Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 2/3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt (topping)
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar (topping)

Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mix alternately with milk.
Spread batter in bottom of well-greased 9-inch square pan.
Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
