Sweet Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. cooking oil
    2 c. sugar
    4 whole eggs
    1/4 c. hot water
    1 1/2 c. finely grated raw sweet potatoes
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Grease and flour three 8-inch layer pans. Sift together flour and spices. In mixing bowl, combine oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat. Add hot water, then fold in flour mixture. Stir in potatoes, nuts and vanilla. Combine thoroughly. Pour batter into pans and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
