Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. cocoa*
1 egg
1 c. sugar
shortening, the size of large egg
1/3 c. sour milk
1 level tsp. soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 level tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. boiling water

Preparation

Boiling water added last thing.
Just fold in water, don't beat.
(Batter will be thin, but don't add anymore flour.).
Cake will be stiff when baked.
