Low-Fat Crispy Oven-Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 lb. fresh okra
    1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. nonfat buttermilk
    1 egg, lightly beaten
Preparation
    Wash okra, trim ends and cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Combine cornmeal, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
    Stir well and set aside.
