Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
Preparation

Sift together the meal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add milk, melted shortening and egg; mix until batter is smooth. Pour into greased pan.
Have oven preheated.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
