Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 to 3 sq. chocolate, melted
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add chocolate.
    Add flour alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla.
    Turn into two 9-inch pans lined on bottom with wax paper.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven approximately 30 minutes.
    Spread with chocolate frosting.
