Ingredients

1 stick margarine
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. Angel Flake coconut
1 Tbsp. vanilla or rum
Preparation

Combine margarine, sugar, dates and egg yolks in skillet. Cook 10 minutes over low heat, mashing dates as you stir.
Turn off heat; add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.
When cool enough to handle, roll in coconut.
Roll in long roll about 1 1/2-inch thick.
Can also be rolled into balls about 1-inch.
Wrap roll in waxed paper or store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Takes about 8 hours to ripen.
