Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 lb. ham, cubed
    1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 lb. shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined
Preparation
    Cut bacon into 1/2-inch pieces and cook in heavy, oven-proof pan with cover.
    When browned, remove and drain on paper towels. Saute onion and green pepper and cook for one minute.
    Add rice and cook for 3 minutes.
    Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Cover pot and place in oven.
    Bake covered at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
