Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Preparation

Sift together the first 5 ingredients and set aside.
Beat well the oleo, sugar, vanilla and egg and add to the dry ingredients.
Form dough into balls the size of walnuts.
Drain maraschino cherries.
Press one cherry into the center of each dough ball. Cover with frosting and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen.
