Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans all-green asparagus, drained
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 large can Pet milk
    4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
    2 c. cracker crumbs
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Make cheese sauce by melting margarine in saucepan.
    Add flour or cornstarch to make smooth paste.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Remove from heat and add liquid from drained asparagus and also Pet milk, stirring until smooth.
    Place back on medium heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
    Add grated cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
