Virginia Box Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/3 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
5 Tbsp. butter or oleo, melted and cooled
3 1/4 to 3 3/4 c. flour
Preparation

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add eggs, salt, sugar, butter and 2 cups flour.
Beat until smooth. Add enough flour to
make a soft dough. Turn onto a floured board.
Knead until smooth and elastic, 6 to 8 minutes.
Put in a greased bowl. Turn once so top is greased.
Let rise until doubled.
On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to fit a 9 x 13-inch pan. Place dough in pan.
Using a sharp knife, cut dough into 12 squares.
Cover and let rise until doubled. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
