Sour Cream Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    6 potatoes, pared and diced
    1 onion, chopped
    2 carrots, sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. milk
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and carrots.
    Boil in water until tender. Strain, reserving 1 cup water.
    In saucepan, saute onions in butter until tender.
    Add all remaining ingredients except sour cream.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Add sour cream and mix well.
    Serve hot and sprinkle with paprika.
