Buttermilk Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 stick butter
    2 tsp. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
Preparation
    In a large kettle, bring to a boil over medium heat for a long time until 232\u00b0 or firm ball stage in cold water.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir and then add 2 cups pecans.
    Drop on buttered foil.
