German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) bar German sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. oil
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks (unbeaten)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in boiling water; cool.
    Cream oil and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg yolks; beat well.
    Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Add buttermilk to chocolate mixture.
    Beat well until smooth.
    Fold in egg whites. Pour in 3 greased and floured pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Cool and frost.
