Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. strawberries, crushed
    4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine strawberries and sugar.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Add lemon juice; bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
    Boil to jam stage, about 13 minutes.
    When jam stage is reached, remove from heat. Stir and skim 5 minutes.
    Pour into hot sterilized jars; cool and seal.
    Makes about 5 cups.
