Beef And Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef
2 c. bell pepper, chopped
1 c. onion, chopped
2 lb. frozen Southern-style hash browns, thawed
16 oz. tomato sauce
1 c. water
6 oz. tomato paste
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 lb. Velveeta, thinly sliced
Preparation

Cook beef until browned; drain fat.
Add pepper and onions. Cook until tender.
Stir in everything else except cheese.
Spoon half of the meat mixture into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Top with half of the cheese.
Spoon remaining meat mixture over cheese.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Top with remaining cheese.
Let stand loosely covered until cheese melts.
Serves 8 to 10.
