Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced tender yellow squash
    2 c. sliced onions
    3 sliced bell peppers
    1/4 c. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    3 cloves garlic
Preparation
    Place squash, onions and peppers in mixing bowl.
    Sprinkle salt over this and let stand 1 to 2 hours; drain well.
    Boil together vinegar, sugar, celery seed, mustard seed and garlic. Add squash, onions and peppers.
    Bring to a boil.
    Place in clean jars and seal.
